I took this picture from the balcony of my previous apartment back in 2003, before the "Light Rail" was finished. It was taken with a 35 mm Nikon, probably an FM. Before posting it, I cropped the edges to hide the lame scan job, but then realized I liked it better with the messed up edges. I decided to use this picture for my first photoblog, because although it is not that spectacular of a photo, I just think it is interesting. I didn’t intend to use the fake trolley as the focal point, but when it came into my viewfinder, I seized the opportunity. You can see the work being done on Main Street. At one time, all of the downtown section was under construction. Most of it looked much worse than this for a long time.
